We headed out last Friday mid-day to find a spot at one of the many Uinta National Forest campgrounds. We don't have the setup yet to pull the Jeep behind the RV so we both drove which is no big deal. Actually its easier with the girls strapped into the back of the Jeep so they napped on the way up.
Camp fire the first night. Brooke is just happy to play in the dirt.
Hanging out in the RV the first morning.
Girls playing the fishy puzzles while waiting for breakfast.
Jason whipping up some pancakes!
Are those marshmallow mouths?? :-)
On Saturday we took the Jeep out for our first off road experience. There are so many trails in the Uintas so we just had to pick one and hope for the best. Most of the scenery wasn't that great but the road was bumpy and you really needed a 4x4 on some parts. Jason was impressed with how the Jeep handled. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of the Jeep on the trip.
We stopped to take a lunch break and met another couple also with a red Jeep so we enjoyed hanging with them for a bit. The girls entertained themselves in the dirt of course!
I missed getting a picture of Skylar's dirty face before I cleaned it but she was almost as dirty as little miss kitty (from wiping her face with her dirty fingers!).
Later that evening we took a short walk from our camp site to the Provo River which was extremely low. But deep enough for Kolby to swim a bit and I tried to get Brooke to skinny dip but she said it was too cold.
Fun at the fire our last night.
This was Brooke's first 'traditional' smore of the evening.
And this was the second...the only way to make a smore which was recommended to us recently - use peanut butter cups instead of plain old chocolate! Soooo good.
Brooke was super excited too!
Chillin' our last morning in bed. Skylar was trying to sit on Brooke's lap but Brooke kept pushing her off. One day she love it!
