Skylar 16 months

Dear Skylar,

You are officially walking! You toddle all over the house but still like to take a hand when out in public, probably a confident/security thing. Your walking skills were getting pretty good but got even better when we visited your cousin Dominic in Santa Barbara. You two are so cute together and its fun watching you both wobble/toddle around!

Its apparent that you will be coordinated. Daddy said he could tell at 6 months but I really noticed recently when you were playing with the magnet fishing puzzle/game at how well you could play. I look forward to seeing you grow in your physical abilities!

 You constantly have several teeth coming in at once which makes some days difficult but are always happy if daddy or I are holding you. Unfortunately you still don’t do well in cars. Sometimes you are perfectly happy but too often you cry. This actually played a part in our decision on buying a motor home rather than a trailer but I can’t just let you roam around when we are driving so you are still high maintenance when traveling. We’ll just have to keep our driving times short until hopefully next year you become an easier traveler. On the upside, you are very easy when we are out and about!

One really cute thing you’ve been doing this past month is always bringing me my shoes! Love it. You also still love to play peek-a-boo with your blanket.
