A little quote that I want to remember everyday...

If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly.

Patterson family visit over the 4th of July

Here it is, the week long visit. Jason's mom and Grandma came to visit again along with Jason's brother Elliott, his wife Jill and daughter Emma (4 years old). We had a fun filled week!

Emma loved holding Skylar and Brooke. :-)

Our first full day we rode the Duck in Seattle (a 90 minute land and water tour). Check out the matching outfits! Emma is wearing the same skirt.

After the Duck we enjoyed lunch at Palisade's. While there Skylar learned a new sound!

We spent a night at Great Wolf lodge which has a huge indoor water park where the girls had a blast! Here is a video.

All the girls slept on the 2 hour drive home. :-)

After their nap on the drive home they were full of energy again for more swimming!

The next day we all headed out to the farmer's market on Sunday but poor Brooke wasn't feeling well and threw up in the car on the way there! So half the crew went home while us girls bought some pastries and produce.

Hanging around the yard on the day of the 4th.

I've never painted Brooke's nails and she would never let me at this age so I'll get my fix while I can with Skylar!

The beginning of the 4th of July festivities! We had about 25 people celebrate with a BBQ and fireworks! Here is a video of the day.

Skylar and Anya, just 10 days apart.

Sad to see everyone go. Grams bought these cute matching outfits for the girls.
