If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly.

Curtain update

I think 'still waiting' posts are getting old at this point so this is just a curtain update. The 'before' picture below is set for Thanksgiving dinner one year. The old curtains really hid the beautiful arch windows and blocked too much sun light.

We're thinking the new updated curtains make it look like a cafe and the room is so much brighter.
