A little quote that I want to remember everyday...

If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly.

Kauai day 3 - Thanksgiving

We have a 2 story condo, this is the upstairs with a nice balcony. I love having all the windows open to the outside with just screens. I still have to take a photo of our patio downstairs which is off the master bedroom. We have all the windows open at night and have enjoyed listening to the rain. We've been lucky with minimal rain during the day. When it does rain it will down pour for just a few minutes and then its sunny again! The temps have been perfect, in the 70s all day.
Yesterday we enjoyed a morning at the pool. The kiddy pool part is really nice with tiny rocks/sand on the bottom. Brooke had a lot of fun playing in it.

Brooke was exhausted after the pool and went down for a late nap. :-)

For Thanksgiving evening we attended a Lu'au! The event started with a tour around their beautiful property via a little tram/bus.

Brooke was a happy camper during dinner!

And she loved the Mai Tais! J/K but she did love the pineapple juice. The cuisine was typical Lu'au food but there were mashed potatoes, turkey and cranberries. Unfortunately no pumpkin pie but the coconut cake was yummy.

We don't have any pictures of the show because they didn't allow flashes but we saw many different types of Hawaiian dances and cultural dances from other ethnicities that came here to work on the plantations. The fire dance at the end was the best!
