We have reached a big milestone this month, you can finally crawl! I was starting to think you never would. :-) You like to explore the house but slowly which makes it easy to keep on eye on you. Surprisingly you don’t really get into things you aren’t supposed to either like cupboards, drawers and electrical cords. The only baby proofing I’ve done is outlet covers but we are working on installing a gate at the top of the stairs.
Another milestone is no more binky! You only wanted it to assist in falling asleep and you did well when I took it away. Now we just need to ween you from milk in a bottle. Speaking of sleep, your happy place is definitely cuddling with your blanket and stuffed doggie. You require a little cuddle time with me or daddy before bedtime in the rocking chair which we cherish because we know you won’t want it forever.
Over Memorial Day weekend we took a trip to Lake Chelan with some friends. You enjoyed playing in the sand, swimming and swinging for the first time!

Your front top 2 teeth have now fully come in and daddy says you look like walrus. :-) A very cute walrus!
You are getting a little more selective when eating but some of your favorites are blueberries, strawberries, yogurt, cheesy eggs and PB&Js. We have to work on a little discipline when eating...when you are done eating you start to drop your food on the floor. I tell you no and you just look at me and smile or even giggle! This is not good. So after scolding I’ll pick you up and put you on the living room floor. You sometimes cry for a bit which hopefully means you understand you are in trouble. Other than this little thing you are a happy and well-behaved little girl and we love you so very much!
You are very good at signing ‘more’ whenever you want food, milk or more food. That is the only sign we’ve successfully taught you although we are trying others like 'all done' which would come in handy with the aforementioned. :-)
One more thing, you got another hip x-ray and they are developing well! They are not perfect yet but at this age your doctor just checks for improvement from the last x-ray and they are improving so your next x-ray will be at 2 years old.
Love,
Mommy
